• Plenty of torque

More torque at low revs means better drive out of corners, so our engineers focused on the shape of the piston and connecting rod, while optimizing valve timing to help prioritize combustion consistency and thereby exhaust efficiency at lower revs. The bridged-box design of the piston uses a reinforcing structure between the skirt and the wrist-pin bosses that helps enable a high redline. Big torque down low, huge power up top. A winning formula.

• Durable clutch

The CRF250RX’s clutch is all about staying durable - accomplished with nine clutch plates and a generous spring count in the damper chamber, along with a rigid clutch centre, and plenty of lubrication. All of these factors combine to enhance clutch strength and performance.

• Large airbox

The CRF250RX features an air-cleaner element with plenty of surface area and volume. More air equals more power, especially in the midrange. In addition, we’ve made it easier to service the air filter too.

• Light frame

To match the bike's strong engine performance, its frame is to CRF450R-spec, resulting in a stable and light ride.

• Showa spring fork

Mounted in a triple clamp engineered to optimize rigidity, the 49 mm Showa fork has a slim shape but maintains its conventional spring design that helps increase front-suspension precision, handling, and feel. The 39 mm piston diameter and 25 mm rod diameter help to ensure a plush feel and supple action.

• Short swingarm

The short swingarm helps make it light, and also gives the bike plenty of rear-wheel traction — important considering how much power is on tap. The swingarm’s design focuses on stability and handling, while still reducing the bike’s unsprung mass when possible.

• Electric start

Convenient and lightweight, the electric starter is a huge advantage if you need to restart the engine in the heat of battle. Like the rest of the bike, the lithium-ion battery is both super light and high performing, weighing less than half that of a conventional lead-acid battery.

• Bigger radiator

Another way the CRF250RX keeps its cool: a big radiator with fins that are angled for efficient airflow.

• Narrow fuel tank

For longer cross-country loops, the CRF250RX’s resin fuel tank holds a full 8 litres. It’s narrow, too, which is important for rider manoeuvrability.
